{"id":1186,"date":"2020-04-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-03-30T12:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/demo6.aiwalls.com\/cars2news\/?p=1186"},"modified":"2019-03-30T12:00:53","modified_gmt":"2019-03-30T12:00:53","slug":"hyundai-confirms-new-santa-fe-hybrid-and-phev-in-geneva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.icaridea.com\/?p=1186","title":{"rendered":"Hyundai Confirms New Santa Fe Hybrid And PHEV In Geneva"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, the Koreans brought it forward by announcing new electrified powertrains for the mid-size SUV. &#8220;At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Hyundai Motor announced its plan to launch the new generation Santa Fe also in a hybrid and plug-in hybrid version&#8221;, said the automaker.<\/p>\n<p>While no launch date was announced, expect to see the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid and Plug-in hybrid models within the next year or so.<\/p>\n<p>Hyundai&#8217;s already selling the Ioniq as a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid too, in addition to the EV, but it&#8217;s unknown whether the five-door liftback has anything to do with the development of the hybridized Santa Fe.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, the fourth generation Hyundai Santa Fe is celebrating its European premiere in Switzerland. The SUV has a larger footprint compared to its predecessor, and a new design, inspired by some of their latest vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>In Europe, the Sante Fe will offer a choice between three diesel and a petrol powertrain modified to meet the new Euro 6C emission standards. The base 2.0-liter diesel is available in two power outputs, delivering 150PS and 182PS paired to a 6-speed manual or a newly developed 8-speed automatic. A 2.2-liter CRDi diesel comes with 197PS and a standard 8sp auto. Completing the initial range is the 185PS 2.4-liter petrol.<\/p>\n<p>In its home market, it will arrive with one petrol and two diesel units, making between 186PS (183hp) and 235PS (232hp), and working together with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. All-wheel drive is optional.<\/p>\n<p>Hyundai will launch it in the United States too, where it will replace the 2018MY.<\/p>\n<h3 \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
