However, the automaker isn\u2019t ready to pull the plug on the current generation just yet, and as a result, they’re updating it for the 2018MY, CarsDirect reports, quoting official order guides.<\/p>\n

Don’t expect any major changes, though, as the 2018 Kia K900 will only get more equipment, but strangely enough for a car that will soon be replaced, at a price.<\/p>\n

For example, the K900 V6 Premium entry-level will be $1,000 more expensive, at $51,850, as it now gains the shift-by-wire gear selector from the V6 luxury model as standard.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the mid-level V6 Luxury will get the standard VIP package, which adds head-up display, 360-degree monitor, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control. Power soft-close doors, power reclining rear seats with ventilation, 16-way power driver’s seat with extendable cushion and power-adjustable headrests are offered too.<\/p>\n

Kia won’t lose any money with this move, as the 2018 K900 V6 Luxury costs $5,000 more than the 2017MY, at $60,850. That’s exactly the cost of the VIP package, when it was still an optional extra.<\/p>\n

The top-of-the-line 2018 Kia K900 V8 Luxury, on the other hand, remains untouched. This means that it still starts at $62,850 and can be ordered with the VIP Package, which is a $6,000 option.<\/p>\n

No changes have been made in the engine lineup either, where the V6 continues to make 311hp and the V8 has 420hp.<\/p>\n
