She drove it for the next decade before giving it to her younger brother.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/640\/320\/af-feature.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\" alt=\"\"> <\/p>\n<p>      (Bring a Trailer\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>It was later sold out of the family and fell into disrepair before being purchased by an unsuspecting buyer in 2003, who discovered its history while putting it through a restoration.<\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/640\/320\/af-6.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\" alt=\"\"> <\/p>\n<p>      (Bring a Trailer)<\/p>\n<p>The car was originally white, but Funicello repainted purple and the color changed several times since before the latest red coat was applied.
